Titan Annual Fund
Morganton Day School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution. We are here to provide the best education to a diverse group of students, which requires tuition to be affordable. In order to provide the best programs and competitive compensation to our outstanding faculty and staff, we continually evaluate and assesses tuition. However, unlike tuition, a financial contribution to the Titan Fund is fully tax-deductible and allows each family to give at a meaningful level to which they are able.
Even if your family is financially unable to write a large check, your
participation is vital in our efforts to obtain grants. Many foundations look for 100% participation from families when reviewing grant applications. Also, we now have an online payment option, which allows you to have small amounts credited during the year. For instance, a gift of $10/week adds up to over $500!
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair and Bake Sale is coming our way (YAY!) on November 12th-15th, 2024.
By choosing their own books, kids feel empowered and inspired to continue their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits Morganton Day School.

The 2024 MDS live auction featured an array of captivating items that made everyone feel like they hit the jackpot! A full orthodontic package from Small & Piers, a hand forged garden arch/trellis from The Metaled Company, (5) 7 night/6 day trips to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic donated by Peak Furniture + Design, Name the Gymnasium for a Year, Be the Auctioneer, and Free Afterschool for a Year rounded out our live items sold.

MDS Athletics Golf Outing

The 3rd Annual MDS Athletics Golf Outing was held at Silver Creek Golf Club in Morganton, NC on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. 60 participants took to the course on a beautiful 72°F day in hopes to be named champion.
Fundraising for this event typically supports our MDS Athletics Program, however, in light of the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene to our local community, we felt the call to step up and support the relief efforts. $2,200.00 in proceeds from this event went directly to those in need via the Community Foundation of Burke County Disaster Relief Fund. Each and every golfer played a vital role in helping those affected begin the process of rebuilding and recovery. We are extremely grateful for all participants.

The Independent School Traditions
As do all independent schools, Morganton Day School operates without funding from city, state, or Federal tax revenues. Instead, Morganton Day School relies on tuition income and broad voluntary financial support. This support includes annual giving, capital giving, and endowment income. Independent school parents place great importance on the education of their children and accept a major role in the continued financial well-being of their children’s schools.
Since the School was founded in 1978, parents have made voluntary financial support one of the School’s proudest traditions. Our parents join trustees, staff/faculty, grandparents, and friends of the School to make Morganton Day a resource-rich environment that enhances students’ possibilities for success. Parents’ gifts have enabled MDS to build on a tradition of scholarship, service, stewardship, and leadership. Because these traditions are not self-perpetuating, we rely on donors to continue the legacy.
