Pre-K Acquires Cubetto Coding Toy

Preschool and kindergarten students at Morganton Day School can now learn basic coding concepts with a wooden robot called Cubetto. Thanks to generous donors at Homer’s in Morganton, this screenless coding system will help introduce 3- to 6-year-olds to coding, story sequencing, and directional concepts through play.

“This is a wonderful asset to our program. Coding is introduced earlier in school curriculums than ever before. The sooner we can introduce these concepts in a way that makes sense to 3- to 6-year-olds, the more our students will benefit in the long run. We are so excited and grateful to work with families and businesses who are supportive of our program,” says Erin Feduke, Junior-K teacher at MDS.

Morganton Day School’s 5-star pre-K program provides 3- to 5-year-olds literacy rich activities in a safe and nurturing learning environment. Through developmentally appropriate lessons, students also engage with foreign language, art, and music.
