Congratulations 2020 Graduates!

We were proud to honor our 13 graduates last Sunday, May 23, 2021 with a beautiful graduation ceremony punctuated with each of the graduates' creative reflection of their years at Morganton day Day. Students shared their thoughts through poetry, spoken verse, and partner speeches. An annual highlight was the video walk down memory lane. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Thank you Mrs. Cape for your time in creating this very special video. These students have become reflective, open-minded, caring, knowledgeable youth who are ready to tackle their next journey. As Morgan reflected in her end-of-year conference, "After being at MDS, I realize that there are many perspectives and how to see and appreciate individuals for who they really are. I know that there is usually more than one side to a story and that you really have to listen to all perspectives and research to figure out what you believe." Henry confidently shared, "I've learned that change is part of life. I know how to deal with it and look for the positive aspects of the change."

These students have so many incredible memories. They have overcome challenges and had a plethora of accomplishments. They will forever be a valuable part of the Morganton Day School community.
