On-Campus Learning Fall 2021

It is hard to believe that the start of another school year is just a few short weeks away. Preparations for the fall are already underway here on campus with new faculty orientation this week and returning faculty hitting the ground running next week!

The Morganton Day School (MDS) board of directors met last night, to review and solidify our school's plan to address the ongoing Covid-19 situation in Burke County. The decisions made by our leadership team are intended to foster the overall health of our children, staff, and community as we work to balance the academic, social, and health needs of our students. The team is utilizing the recommendations and guidance from national, state, and local health professionals, as well as drawing from our in-person learning experience last year.

Morganton Day School continues to prioritize safety while providing the best educational experience for all of our students.

In order to provide our students and families with the outstanding academic and social educational experience that is synonymous with MDS, classes this fall will be in-person with all teachers, students, and visitors wearing masks and distancing while inside the building.

The complete plan can be found here.

We are looking forward to the start of a great school year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mikusa, Head of School
