An IB education is a unique curriculum with many qualities that benefit students and instructors alike.

Over the next few weeks, we will explore some of the high-quality and challenging educational features of the International Baccalaureate framework that allow students to grow as internationally-minded learners.

In all IB programmes, teaching is based on student inquiry, emphasizing the importance of seeking information and using it to construct their unique understanding. Students explore concepts to deepen disciplinary comprehension, help make connections and transfer learning to new contexts. Teachers use real-life concepts and encourage students to process the information and connect it to their own experiences and the world around them.

Teamwork is another key element in the classroom that promotes collaboration between students. There is also a cooperative relationship between teachers and students. IB teaching is inclusive and values diversity. It affirms students’ identities and aims to create learning opportunities that enable every student to develop and pursue appropriate personal goals.

Finally, assessment plays a crucial role in supporting and measuring learning. This approach recognizes the essential role of providing students with effective feedback
