Convocation

On Friday, August 20th students greeted the school year outside with our annual Convocation.

The 8th-grade class led us in this time-honored tradition, as we celebrated our MDS community and welcomed new students. We began with the pledge of allegiance and then several 8th graders shared their favorite aspects of Morganton Day School as well as their hopes and goals for the new year.

What is IB?

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program is a curriculum framework for international schools. At Morganton Day School, students ages 3-12 engage with concept-based units of inquiry. Students in 7th and 8th grade follow the same philosophy of exploring concepts through inquiry-based lessons.
